Update as of Aug. 27, 2020 | The virtual event has been extended and will be held from Saturday, September 5, 2022 and now ending on Sunday, September 20, 2020. Registrants who registered prior to April 2020 are automatically entered to run the virtual race on their own or safely socially distanced from friends and family and are also automatically deferred to 2021 at no additional cost. Additional instructions and details will be communicated by email. |

Eligibility | Marathon and Half Marathon: Must be at least 14 years of age on race day. Runners 14 – 17 years of age must obtain parental/guardian approval to participate. 10K and 5K: Runners 17 years of age and below must obtain parental/guardian approval to participate. |
Packet Pick Up | The #UGM2020 packet pickup dates have been changed due to the current government restrictions. Once the restrictions are lifted in Guam, registered runners will be able to pick up their race packets through Sept. 20. Packet pickup details will be relayed at a later date. The packet will include a finisher medal, event t-shirt, beach mat, towel, and event bag. |
Race Rules | — All runners must register online before Monday, August 24, 2020. No exceptions. Virtual race participants will NOT be able to participate in more than one (1) race distance. — Virtual race participants may run their registered distance starting Saturday, September 5 through Sunday, September 20, 2020. — Complete your race distance anywhere - even on a treadmill. If you are running/walking outside, please make sure you are following all social distancing rules and follow ALL local, state, and federal mandates! — Virtual runners may submit their results upon completion of their run or before September 20, 2020. — Results submitted are only used for GSEI purposes. Due to the fact that the event is a virtual run, race officials are unable to substantiate race times. Therefore, individual race times will not be published. No awards will be given based on virtual results submitted. — All registrations are final. There are no refunds allowed for the virtual race. — Virtual race participants will be required to pick up their race packets when permitted based on the Government of Guam mandates. |
Miscellaneous | If the event is cancelled due to any reason beyond the control of the organizer, the entry fee will NOT be refunded to the runner. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. All information published is subject to change or expiration without notice. All runners bear the sole responsibility of being informed of race rules and regulations. |
Weather Conditions | Precautions should be taken against heat and humidity. Proper hydration and nutrition prior to the race are extremely important as the temperatures in Guam will likely be in the high 80s with humidity in the 80 to high 90 percent range. A long-distance event with these conditions can be dangerous for those who are insufficiently trained and prepared. If this is your first time participating in a running event of this length in a warm and humid climate, take fluids. |
